PRODUCT AND INDUSTRIAL DESIGN
3D Printing
With 3D modelling, comes 3D printing in the design process. 3D printing is the apex of prototyping as it accurately reflects the CAD models due to its high accuracy and fidelity,
given the proper separation and slicing techniques across the right edges and surfaces.
3D printing can make or break the design idea as it takes into consideration the user experience and interaction with the model before fabricating the actual product. It alerts the designer with the necessary changes that require amendments before proceeding to the next stage.
The size of 3D prints are not fixed and can be rescaled, recoloured or even reprinted with
a different material, depending on the type of test intended. Showcased below are my
CAD models that I have sent for 3D printing as well as photos of the actual prints.

Toy
During my second year, I had a module on 3D printing. The final assignment was to CAD out and print three separable pieces, each within a 3 mm × 3 mm × 3 mm measurement.
Hence, a Bottle Capsule Fidget Toy.
Above is the assembled Bottle Capsule while below is the dismantled set sent for printing, feel free to drag and scroll on the CAD models to have a closer look!

A side table that allows the user to reminisce playing
in the playground through the sense of “sight”.
The side table stimulates the user's sense of sight as it visually reminds the user of the time they had as a kid in a playground.
